Marvel Motion Comics Competition - Grand Prize WinnerCongratulations to John Griffiths for his prize winning entry of The Marvel Motion Comic competition. He's done a marvelous job in animating the pages and I can't help wonder how he's manage to create so much movement. Motion Comic CompletedLast night I put the finishing touches to my Marval Motion Comic entry. I can breathe a sigh of relief after a month of work, with the last two weeks absolutely going for it. This is my first motion comic attempt, but not the first time animating. My final project at university was an animation and those times did come back to haunt me, 2 am, caffeine wearing off, another second in the bag. What have I learned from this experience. I realised I’m not just entering a competition but trying to find out what it is I want to do. I feel the need to explore other options. My Graphic Design career is at a stand still but it’s something that I’m not upset about. This has allowed me the time to find out some things about myself. What it is that I want to do always seem to be a question on my mind. It’s a question that I can’t answer sitting around thinking about it. I need to get out there and try new things. If I win or lose this competition, I don’t think it matters to me (honestly though 10 grand would come in handy!). I’ve decided that I’ll be making my own motion comics and putting them up for people to enjoy for free. Einydog yet again rears his black and white head (for those of you who don’t know who Einydog is, he’s the main character from my final project at university). back to the top
