I stumbled upon this fact while creating a Google Doc Spreadsheet using Microsoft Excel. Wanting no one to see my formulae I used Excel protection to lock my cells. Upon uploading it to Google Docs, all protections was stripped from the spreadsheets and my formulae was clearly visible. I can't believe that Microsoft haven't filed a lawsuit against Google for doing this, nor is there any banks or corporations out there making any noise about Excel security issues. I'm just glad that I know now and can add this to the already very long list of Microsoft security issues. Planetary Alignment 2011
The planetary alignment of Jupiter, Venus, Mars and Mercury is happening over the space of the next few days. Early risers out there will notice bright dots in the eastern sky, which is Venus and Jupiter, and in the coming days will be joined by Mars and Venus. This event occurs only once every 50-100 years and according to Geoffrey Wyatt, of Sydney Observatory, the last time Australians saw such a show was in 1910, and the next occasion would not be until 2056. The great thing about this is the fact that you just have to look to the eastern skies in the morning, between 5-6am and you can see the event with the naked eye, without the need of a telescope. Great White Just Metres from the Shore
When I first saw this image published on the Daily Telegraph website, (click here for the full story) I thought about my British friends, who all they ever wanted to know was if I ever saw a shark. Too scared to go in the water some of them, this picture might even scare them from coming to Australia altogether. back to top Pouring Beer From the Bottom Up
Now there is an ingenious way to get the perfect head on a beer by pouring it from the bottom up. How the system works, is with plastic cup, and a magnet which fills the hole at the bottom of the glass. When you remove the glass from the tap, it pulls the magnet to the bottom of the glass, and with the pressure from the liquid, the magnet stays in place, sealing the glass. The method reduces waste and fills the cup in seconds. Only drawback is drinking beer out of plastic cups. back to the top
