Wordpress, Wikipedia and Mozilla have gone dark in protest against two proposed laws in America. back to top Google Survey Scam
Today, I went to search for something on google and the page announced that I was selected in the Gosford area to participate in a quick survey. I love google and therefore happily obliged to take part. What I didn't know was they were going to enter me into a service for downloading games for $5.00 per week at the end of it. This is a total scam and should be taken offline immediately. For my participation in the survey, google then offered me to go in a draw to win an iPhone. All I needed to do was to enter the code and sms it to the phone number given. I didn't join up for the iPhone competition because I became very suspicious at about this time. In the terms and conditions of this so called competition, it stated that I agreed to sign up for the service of receiving java games. This is very misleading and would have caught many excited people thinking they were in a chance to win an iphone when in fact it was just to sign them up, un knowingly to a service they didn't know they were signing up to. I am very disappointed with google for this scam and thought they were a much bigger company than to con people into some stupid $5.00 a week subscription to java games. back to topDaniel Ellsberg on Wikileaks Part TwoPart 1 of an interview with former Pentagon wistleblower about WikiLeaks. back to the topDaniel Ellsberg on Wikileaks Part OneCan the voice of the people really be silenced? back to the topReporters without Borders
The most simple solution is often the best way to get a powerful message across, as these examples of Reporters Without Borders illustrate. Using something as common as pen's and pencils, these posters trigger an emotional response and force the viewer to use their own imagination of the brutality and torture that some reporters face out there. back to the topThe World Needs Fun
Sent this by a friend on Facebook, thought it was very clever and highlighted how there is a desire in most people for spontaneous fun. back to the topMake a Noise, Say No!Thousands turn up to say "No!" to Heathrow Airports expansion plans. This was one of the first campaigns I got involved with while working in London. Organised by environmental campaigners, Enoughs Enoughs and proudly supported by Greenpeace UK, the campaign was a huge success attracting thousands to spell out the enormous "No". back to the top |
